COMING HOME
On a mild, Minnesota, May spring day, I purchased my first home. The apple tree in the front yard had just released its first batch of soft pink petals onto the unthawed ground. There I stood. Staring at my new house in astonishment. Realizing. Months worth of searching and invasive questions would lead to one moment. I softly stepped onto the delicate petals. My babies were not next to me, and the apple tree was already protecting me by giving my tears a soft, pink, landing.

Nowadays, I focus on meaningful, relational photography. I shoot senior pictures with families that want to really focus on being authentic and tell the story of who their senior is right now. I do business branding photos with businesses that align with my values. I like photographing events that create change, have cultural roots, ones that give me an opportunity to use my empathy and outer vision to tell a story that needs to be told.
